This is about 20 minutes before the "Memorial Lights" would go on for the first time. I can see them lit now, as I write this, at 10PM... Somehow they are not quite as "bright" as I expected, but it does anchor my thoughts and my perspective... I know, immediately, where the towers are/were... when I look south... The lights are only due to shine for a month... they should stay lit until it is decided what kind of structures will go up in that space and the time actually comes for construction to begin. My thoughts and prayers are with John Cooper and his family, and with the other friends and acquaintances that were lost...
